Our Purpose
Hopewell’s UMW is a group of women who are committed to support mission projects that serve women, youth, and children. Our purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church
Our Mission
Through our fundraising efforts, Hopewell’s UMW has been able to distribute funds to local and global missions. The missions we support yearly include the Suzanne Wesley House, the Maryland Bible Society, Meals on Wheels, the Salvation Army, Harford Fuel Fund, Mary’s Cradle, Family Crisis Resource Center, the Shepherd Staff, the UMW Scholarship Fund and the Shenandoah’s Women Shelter, and sponsor a Native American child yearly. In Harford County, we support FISH, Meals on Wheels, Grace Place (a Soup Kitchen in Havre de Grace), Alpha’s Glory Regency Center in Aberdeen, Anna’s House, The Susquehanna Habitat For Humanity, and two local communities the extreme Family Outreach Organization. If you have a desire to be a part of a Christian fellowship of women who are in mission for women, youth and children you are welcome to join us.
