“…they were continually devoting themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the fellowship, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.” (Acts 2:42)
Eating together was an essential part of the early church, and it is important at Hopewell. Through our many meals together, we offer an alternative to today’s mealtimes that are often rushed, and can resemble a come-and-go buffet table. More than just a time to eat, our meals are a time for family, food, and spiritually-minded fellowship. Our Hospitality team provides many such opportunities throughout the year, including: Sunday School Picnic, Spring Family Picnic, Playdates at the Parsonage, Pot Luck Suppers, Christmas & Easter Cantata Receptions, The Winter Chili Lunch, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, The Youth Group Dinner, and Ladies Night Out. All members and guests of the congregation are welcome to attend, and anyone may join and attend our planning meetings. We are always open to new suggestions.
